Description	:	Viola was born Nov. 25, 1901, in Marathon to Frank and Mary Davis. She attended Marathon schools. She married Cassius Howe March 1, 1918, in Marathon. They farmed near Marathon. In 1971, Viola moved to Laurens when Cassius entered the Laurens Good Samaritan Center. He died in 1973. Viola entered the Laurens Good Samaritan Center in 1982. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son — Nyle Howe; a daughter — Alene (Toodie) Reese; a sister — Ruby Nelson; and two brothers — Gilger Davis and Worley Davis.
