Couture CLYDE — Violet L. Couture, 90, Clyde, died Wednesday, April 28, 1993, at the Clay County Hospital, Clay Center. Mrs. Couture was born Violet L. Gepner on June 7, 1902, at Clyde. She was a farm wife and a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, the Altar Society and the Country Club. Her husband, Joseph W., died in 1964, and a daughter, Edith Ruby Couture, also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Evon Ferron of Independence, Mo.; two sons, Leonard of Clyde and Joe of Abilene; two sisters, Erma Odette of Clyde and Evalyn McAdams of Clay Center; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, the Rev. John Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Clyde. A vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Chaput Mortuary, Clyde. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Friday at the mortuary, 310 Washington, Clyde, 66938.
