Mrs. Myers was born Violet M. DeVore on March 28, 1921, at Miltonvale and was a resident of Concordia for many years. She worked at the Seymour Packing Co. and St. Ann's Home and was an Avon representative. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Concordia, and Veterans' of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Her first husband, Ernest Stortz, died in 1967, and her second husband, LeRoy Myers, died in 1981. A son, Ivan DeVore, also preceded her in death.
