Description	:	Virgil Clair Miller, born July 23, 1941, at Charleston Area Medical Center, Charleston, the son of Oner Clarion Miller Sr. and Hazel Ball Miller Bell, died November 15, 2010, in Jacksonville, Fla. He died in a traffic accident when a Jacksonville Sheriff's officer pulled out in front of him. He was a 1959 graduate of Scott High School, Madison. Read More	Virgil Clair Miller, born July 23, 1941, at Charleston Area Medical Center, Charleston, the son of Oner Clarion Miller Sr. and Hazel Ball Miller Bell, died November 15, 2010, in Jacksonville, Fla. He died in a traffic accident when a Jacksonville Sheriff's officer pulled out in front of him. He was a 1959 graduate of Scott High School, Madison. He served as a United States Postal carrier for 25 years on Rt. 1 , Danville, and worked as a car hauler for 15 years out of Jacksonville, Fla. In his youth, he was a member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Turtle Creek. At the time of his death, he was an active member and Sunday school class usher of the Trinity Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Fla. He also drove for Dr. Clay Lindstam when he had speaking engagements for the ministry. He is survived by his spouse, Alice Mae (Cabell) Miller. They were married 50 years and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 5th of this year at Trinity Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Fla. He is also survived by two children, Michael Clair Miller and his wife Gwendolyn McVey Miller of Pacifica, Calif., and Myra Elaine Miller Freeman of Jacksonville, Fla. He is survived by one grandchild, Jessica Kaye Freeman. He was preceded in death by his brother Oner C. Miller, Jr., and his sister, Beulah Miller Dewees and her husband Ray Dewees and his brother-in-law James Hamilton Slusser, Sr. He is survived by two sisters, Zula (Miller) Slusser of Mechanicsville, Va., and Claudia (Miller) Mabe and her husband Kenneth Ray Mabe of Orange Park, Fla.; and his brother, Oner Clarion Miller Jr.'s widow, Erma (Rowley) Miller of Jacksonville, Fla. He is survived by his mother-in-law, Falcy Mae (Pauley) Cabell Baisden of Danville; sister-in-law, Bessie (Cabell) Miller, the widow of James. L. Miller, of Hinton; brothers-in law, Kenneth Cabell and his wife Marion Springer Cabell of Newcastle, Del., Ronald Cabell and his wife Sally Veeh DeMeno Cabell of Newport News, Va., William Cabell and his wife Sally McComas Cabell of Danville, John P. Cabell Sr. and his wife Bonnie R. Gibson Cabell of Red House, and Manderville Cabell Jr. and his wife Sherry Elkins Cabell of Mt. Carbon; and sister-in-law, Bessie Cabell Miller, the widow of James. L. Miller of Hinton. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 20, at Fraser Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Fla. Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, West Virginia. The burial will be at Family Gardens on Low Gap immediately after the service. Family visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral homes. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Gideons International in honor of Virgil C. Miller and the Rev. Ephriam Jackson Pauley.
