Young, 62, of Waukee, a former Stratford resident, were held this Monday, Feb. 16, at the Stratford Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Harold Richardson in charge. Burial was at the Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Young, was born Aug. 23, 1907 in Hamilton County, and died Feb. 13, 1970, at the Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, where he had been a patient for nine days. Lee, High Point, N.C., Mrs. Dale Becker of Waukee, and Mrs. Bohn of Los Angeles, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 5 brothers, Edward Young of Stanhope, and Wallace, Floyd, Arthur and Oscar of Stratford; 2 sisters, Mrs. Bernice Benedict of San Bernardino, Calif., and Mrs. Alva Simonson of Stratford. Mr. Young was preceded in death by his parents.
