Mrs. Gaumer was born Oct. 29, 1921, in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of Charles E. and Elizabeth G. Morford Whaler. She married Stewart C. Gaumer June 19, 1943, in Atlanta, Ga. She has lived in the Fairfield community for 45 years, with previous residences in Philadelphia and Atlanta, Ga. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, P.E.O. Chapter MB, Fairfield Golf and Country Club, Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband of Fairfield; one son, Stewart C. Gaumer Jr. of White Plains, N.Y.; one daughter, Larue G. Wacknov of Overland Park, Kan.; four grandchildren, David Stewart Gaumer, Corey Alexander Wacknov, Stacy Nicole Wacknov and Jason Lee Wacknov; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Matthew James Gaumer (see: Matthew James Gaumer).
