Services will be held 11 am.March 1 at Tennant Funeral Home with the Rev.T.L.Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Mrs. Sandstead was born May 12, 1920 in Norcatur, Kan., to Fermon and Ruth (Ewing) Hoover. She attended schools in Kansas, graduating from Bird City College. She married Morris Sandstead in August 1948 at Highlands Methodist Church in Denver. She lived in Holyoke, Akron and Yuma before moving to Sterling. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Sterling, a member of Eastern Star, P.E.O., and mother advisor of Rainbow Girls. She is survived by her husband, Morris of Brush; a daughter, Cherie Haas of Greeley, a son Morris Jr., of Boulder and six grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by a sister, Mildren Channer. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers.
