Description	:	Wanna May Clingman, daughter of John & Mary Parker, was born on June 13, 1894, on a farm near Cawker City, Kansas. She passed away at the Downs Nursing Center, Downs, Kansas, at the age of 90. On September 18, 1916, Wanna was united in marriage to Maurice B. Clingman, and they lived on a farm southeast of Jewell, Kansas, until after his death in 1936. Wanna & Maurice were blessed with 8 children, 6 sons and 2 daughters. Read More	Wanna May Clingman, daughter of John & Mary Parker, was born on June 13, 1894, on a farm near Cawker City, Kansas. She passed away at the Downs Nursing Center, Downs, Kansas, at the age of 90. On September 18, 1916, Wanna was united in marriage to Maurice B. Clingman, and they lived on a farm southeast of Jewell, Kansas, until after his death in 1936. Wanna & Maurice were blessed with 8 children, 6 sons and 2 daughters. After the death of her husband, Wanna worked at various jobs to support the family she so loved. She is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice, 3 children who died in infancy, a twin boy named Roscoe, twins Cathleen and Carl, and sons Leroy, Max, and Abner. Wanna is survived by her son, Ross and his wife Violet of Coldwater, Ohio, her daughter Annabel Weisman and her husband, Don of Ottumwa, Iowa, and her daughter-in-law, Almedia Clingman of Downs, Kansas. Also 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren are left to mourn her passing. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 3, 1985, at 2 p.m. at the Jewell Trinity Methodist Church with Rev. Kelvin Heitmann officiating. The hymns "In the Garden" and "How Great Thou Art" were by soloist John Edwards accompanied by organist Mrs. Jan McCollough. The following served as pallbearers: Terry Clingman, Wayne Clingman, Vaughn Clingman, Jerry Clingman, Daryl Clingman, and Carl Knarr. Burial was made in the Jewell City Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the church. The Domoney Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Salina Journal,Salina, Kansas, March 27, 1979.
