Walter was born on Sept. 22, 1932, at Scotia to Charles Robert and Minnie (Heubner) Biskeborn. Walter married Nancy Andersen on Nov. 10, 1956, in Fremont. Read More	Walter Lee Biskeborn, 79, of Ord died March 4, 2012, at Valley County Health System Hospital in Ord. Walter was born on Sept. 22, 1932, at Scotia to Charles Robert and Minnie (Heubner) Biskeborn. Walter married Nancy Andersen on Nov. 10, 1956, in Fremont. Survivors are; wife, Nancy Buskeborn; son, Charles D. Biskeborn of Fremont; daughters, Marianne M. Biskeborn and her friend, Chuck Oliver, of Ord, Peggy J. Biskeborn and her friend, Joe Haywood, of Scottsbluff and Connie N. Greenland and her husband, Clint, of Ord; sister, Anna Morrow of St. Paul; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Walter was raised in Scotia, where he also received his education. Walt worked on local farms until April 21, 1952, when he joined the United States Navy. He worked aboard oil tankers for four years and was discharged on March 29, 1956. After the Navy, he resided in Fremont, where he worked at C.A. Swanson. Walter and Nancy made their home in Ord. Walt worked as a plumber for Hunk's Plumbing and later operated his own business, Walt's Plumbing. The couple purchased Daylight Donuts in Ord in 2000 and operated until 2003. Walter was a lifetime member of the DAV and VFW. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping and hunting. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles R. Biskeborn; mother, Minnie Biskeborn-Fenton; stepfather, Oliver Fenton; son, Walter Lee Biskeborn Jr.; brother, Leslie Biskeborn; and sister, Wilma McDonald. Walter bequeathed his body to the Nebraska Anatomical Board at the University Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Military honors were provided by the Ord VFW Post 7029 and American Legion Post 38 at Walter's memorial service. Inurnment was in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Scotia, NE.
