Description	:	From his parents' obituaries, at this time, I AM GUESSING at his birth and death years. His parents married in 1876. Walter was most likely born sometime after that, in Illinois, I believe. He died somewhere between 1882, when the family moved to Iowa, and 1885 when the father sold the farm and moved to Paton. He died somewhere between 1882, when the family moved to Iowa, and 1885 when the father sold the farm and moved to Paton. (*See father's obituary below) Father's obituary: He married Eliza Pratt on January 11, 1876, in Rapid City, Illinois. They had four children, three boys and one girl. Their daughter, Juanita, died in childhood in Illinois. After remaining in business for a number of years in Illinois, in 1882, they moved to Greene County on a farm of eighty acres of land three miles southwest of Paton. They lived there three years, and during that time, sickness again entered their home, and one son, Walter T. died. In 1885, he desired to locate where he could work at his trade (that of a tinner) more successfully. He sold the farm and moved into Paton. After coming to Paton, death entered the family circle for the third time, and Roy C. was taken from the fond parents, leaving but one child, Racine, now of Walker, Minn., to be the child of their declining years. This son, with his family, arrived from Minnesota, but a short time before the father closed his eyes in death on Oct. 31, 1914.
