He was born October 26, 1906, in Seattle Washington the son of Mr. and Mrs. Primus Bruffey. He attended schools in Big Timber and lived on a ranch on the Boulder River until the fall of 1943. He married Margaret Opland in 1936. In the year 1943, they moved to Garneill, Montana, where they had purchased a ranch. In the spring of 1945, they returned to Sweet Grass County where they purchased the Overfelt ranch on Big Timber Creek and they lived there until his retirement in 1963. They lived on a small acreage on the ranch until they moved to Big Timber in June 1968. Mt. Bruffey was a member of the Big Timber Lutheran Church. Survivors include his widow of Big Timber, one daughter, Mrs. Sonja Marchwick of Bozeman, and 3 grandsons; one brother George of Harlowton. Contributor: Julia Kinsey (48922386) •
