Description	:	Services Held For Pioneer Resident One of the earliest residents of Sweet Grass county, Mrs. Pearl Clara Bruffey, passed away at the Columbus nursing home at 9 am Friday at the age of 78. She had suffered a stroke the day before. Mrs. Bruffey had been a patient at the Columbus nursing home for the past three years. Mrs. Bruffey was born July 10, 1877, at Spring Valley, Minn., a daughter of George and Emma Baker. She came with her parents, to the Boulder area in 1883, locating on the old Bruffey & Baker ranch just below the Natural Bridge.... She had suffered a stroke the day before. Mrs. Bruffey had been a patient at the Columbus nursing home for the past three years. Mrs. Bruffey was born July 10, 1877, at Spring Valley, Minn., a daughter of George and Emma Baker. She came with her parents, to the Boulder area in 1883, locating on the old Bruffey & Baker ranch just below the Natural Bridge. She married Primus A Bruffey Dec. 20, 1900 and they made their home on that ranch until Mr. Bruffey's death in 1943. Funeral services were conducted from the Lowry Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Christian Science rites being con ducted by Mrs. Alice Kleinsch midt of Bozeman. Pallbearers were Roy Moore, Clyde Davis. Jack Clark, Roy Webber, Dr. J. D. Herries and Stuart Nicholson. Interment was in Mountain View. Survivors include two sons, George Bruffey of Harlowton, and Ward Bruffey of Big Timber; a sister, Mrs. Wilbur Officer of Livingston; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
