Funeral Services, 11 AM, Monday, April 16, 2012, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur. Officiating, Rev. Chip McAulay, Rev. Paul Griffin. Burial, Shiloh Baptist Church, Ramseur, with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A Randolph County native, W.H. served in the maritime service and US Merchant Marines during World War II and was a US Army veteran of the Korean ConflictHe owned and operated Plywood Discount for over 30 years and retired from Klaussner Funiture as a truck driver. He was a member of the VFW Post #9335 and of Pleasant Ridge Christian Church. W.H. loved old cars, animals, farming and spending time gardening with his great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty K. Cox, brothers, Lloyd Cox and Fred Cox, sisters, Lois Craven and Annabell Cox, by his parents, William and Ava Maness Cox, and granddaughter, Kandi Cox Survivors: sons, Dannie L. Cox and wife, Wanda, of Ramseur, Louis R. Cox and wife, Mitzi, of Ramseur, sisters, Patsy Coward, of Ramseur, brother, Kermit Cox, of Asheboro, grandchild, Keli Kearns, great grandchildren, Hunter and Tristan Phillips, and his loving dog "Chevelle". The Family would like to express there sincere thanks to the staff of Universal Health Care in Ramseur and to Summit Family Medicine for there tireless care of Mr. Cox Visitation, 7 pm to 9 pm, Sunday, Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, other times at the home of Dannie and Wanda Cox, 4718 Moffitt Mill Rd., Ramseur.
