Kuhlmann Spent Her Life Near Byron Many Relatives Came to Attend Funeral Wilhelmina Marie Kuhlmann, daughter of Friedrich Kniep and Doris Garbes, his wife, was born on March 18th, 1888 near Byron, Nebr. On April 1st of the same year, she was baptized and a (sic) tthe (sic) age of 14 was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was united in marriage with Friedrich Kuhlmann on Oct. 26, 1910. For seven years, Mr. and Mrs. Kuhlmann resided south of Byron, but since 1918 they have made their home four miles northwest of Byron. Mrs. Kuhlmann enjoyed good health all of her life until Sunday, Aug. 18, when she suffered an attack of appendicitis. Following an operation, she was thot to be improving, but she passed away suddenly on Sept. 6th, at the age of 52 years, 5 months and 19 days. She was a quiet unassuming Christian. Left to mourn are her husband; three children, Otto Ella and Dora; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Otto Kuhlmann; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. Kuhlmann of Byron; two sisters, Mrs. John Dittmer, Mrs. Emma Gebers; three brothers, William, Henry and Christ; and many relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. Hoefer, Sunday afternoon, Sept. 8, at St. Peter's Lutheran church (sic) northwest of Byron. Interment was in St. Peter's cemetery (sic). Persons from outside of Byron community, who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kuhlman, Lorraine and Melvin; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kuhlmann, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Kuhlmann, Alberta and Harold, Mrs. Wm. Kuhlmann and Ruth Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Kuhlmann, Delores and Norman, Mrs. Dick F. Kuhlmann, Mr. and Mrs. Will G. Kuhlmann and family of Gaylord, Kans.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Kuhlmann and family, all from Athol, Kansas; as also were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred D. Kuhlmann, Arnold and Zola of Table Rock; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Geyer, Elk Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Grable and family, of Humboldt; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kuper, Mrs. John T. Kuper, Humboldt; Mrs. Alfred Grable and daughters and Mrs. Robert Volker of Table Rock; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bohling, Mr. and Mrs. John Gebers and Mrs. Mary Gebers, Auburn; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kniep and Viola, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Kniep and sons, Orleans; Mr. Henry Kniep, Helen and Fred, Long Island, Kans.
