Description	:	OTTUMWA — Willadene Thompson, 82, of Ottumwa, died at 11:25 a.m. February 17, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa. She was born April 10, 1933, in Ottumwa to James and Dora Johnston Ellis. She married Harold Eugene Thompson on January 20, 1951. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1999. A 1951 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Willadene had worked at Standard Kollsman and had been a cook at the Red Lion Inn. She was born April 10, 1933, in Ottumwa to James and Dora Johnston Ellis. She married Harold Eugene Thompson on January 20, 1951. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1999. A 1951 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Willadene had worked at Standard Kollsman and had been a cook at the Red Lion Inn. Surviving are her five children, Richard (Debra) Thompson of St. Charles, Missouri, Don “D.T.” (Kathy) Thompson of Ottumwa, Mike Thompson of Fort Madison, Karen (Mark) Olson of Burlington and Barb (Mike) Wilt of Ottumwa; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, George (Loraine) Ellis of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Randy Dean Thompson; a sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Lambert Burkhalter, brother and sister-in-law, Cornelius “C.E.” and Marguerite Ellis, brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Kathy Ellis. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Skinner officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Friday with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa for blanket warmers.
