Trinity Lutheran choir sang, “Asleep in Jesus” and “Abide With Me.” Pallbearers were Clarence Frahm, W.C. Frahm, Jr., Melvin Wiest, Arthur Boettcher, Harvey Scheiding and William Kort. Mr. Frahm died at the Webster County Community Hospital in Red Cloud late Saturday after being a patient there for four weeks. He had been in failing health about nine months. William C. Frahm was born November 11, 1872, in Osage county, Missouri. In the same year he was baptized in the Lutheran church. In the year 1886 he renewed his baptismal vow and at the time of his death was a communicant and voting member of Trinity Lutheran Church. During the year 1886 he came to this community with his parents and lived here the remainder of his life with the exception of four years he served as Webster county treasurer during which time the family lived in Red Cloud. Mr. Frahm was always intensely interested in the welfare of his community and spent much of his time in civic work. He was a builder. He served two terms in the House of Representatives of Nebraska State Legislature, with credit, before the days of Unicameral. For 20 years, he was a member of the Board of Education of School District 74 and had served as a member of the village board. At the time of his death, he was a member of the local Cemetery board. He was also for many years a director of the Glenwood Telephone Company. During his earlier days, Mr. Frahm’s business activities included operation of a general store for ten years, and for six years, he was assistant cashier of the old First National Bank of Blue Hill. Before his retirement in 1952 for 35 years, he was in the automobile and service station business, first as a partnership and later as sole owner. On June 4, 1900, he was united in marriage with Miss Letha Walters, and their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Margaret and Florence. Survivors are his wife, Letha, their daughters, Mrs. Florence Pyle of Gothenburg, and Mrs. Margaret Rogler of Akron, Ohio; two grandchildren, Mrs. Joan Peterson of Gothenburg and Lieut. Bill Pyle of Munich, Germany; and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother, Fred, and two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Nowack and Mrs. Minnie Luhn.
