She was a pioneer resident of Webster county having come here with her family in 1886. The family moved to Lincoln about 15 years ago. Blue Hill Leader 22 May 1942 Front Page SERVICE HELD SUNDAY FOR MRS PETER LUHN Funeral services for Mrs. Peter Luhn, who died at her home at 1035 South 34th Street in Lincoln, on Thursday, May 21, were held at Trinity Lutheran Church Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. F. Worthmann of Lincoln. He was assisted by Rev. August Ficken, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Wilhelmina Sophia, daughter of Mary and Christian Frahm was born at Feuersville, Missouri, on November 10, 1867. She came with her parents to Blue Hill on October 20, 1886 and they located on the place now farmed by Edwin Kort a mile and a half northwest of Blue Hill. On December 27, 1889 she was married to Peter Luhn and nine children were born to this union. The family lived on a farm three miles south of Blue Hill until 1924 when Mr. & Mrs. Luhn retired and moved to the Lincoln home. At her death Mrs. Luhn was 74 years, 6 months and 11 days of age. She leaves her husband, Peter; Four son, Fred, McCook, NE; Eric, St. Louis; Arthur, Denver; John C., Chicago; five daughter, Mrs. Marie Brown, Alliance; Mrs. Dorothea Warren, Monte Vista, CO; Mrs. Ann Johnson, Lincoln; Misses Clara and Meda, at home; one sister, Mrs. Hula Nowack, one brother, William C. Frahm, both of Blue Hill; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. All the children were present at the funeral services. Mr. Peter Luhn, who suffered a stroke about two months ago, was able to attend services held in Lincoln Saturday, but was unable to make the trip to Blue Hill.
