Mr. Frahm was the father of Arthur A. Frahm, prominent young farmer, who died here April 14 of pneumonia. Fred Frahm had lived in or near Blue Hill since 1886, when he came here from Bland, MO. He settled on a farm five miles northeast of Blue Hill and in 1928 he retired and moved to town. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Herbert, Clarence and Alfred, all of Blue Hill and one daughter, Mrs. Alma Schnase of Kearney; twelve grandchildren; one brother, W.C. Frahm of Blue Hill; and two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Nowack of Blue Hill, and Mrs. Peter Luhn of Hastings. Funeral services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Hill Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment will be made in the Trinity Cemetery. Tribune 27 Apr 1934 Funeral Services For Fred Frahm To Be Held Saturday By Rev. August Ficken For the fourth time within two weeks death has called a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. This time it was Fred W. Frahm, the father of Arthur A. Frahm who was laid to rest last week Tuesday. It was last week on Monday that he contracted pneumonia which finally caused his death on Wednesday, April 25, at about 6:20 p.m. Fred W. Frahm was born January 18, 1862 at Kletzke, Brandenburg, Germany. In his infancy he received the washing of regeneration in the Holy Ghost. In 1866 he came to the United States and lived with his parents at Bland, MO till 1886. During this time he was confirmed in the Lutheran faith to which he remained faithful until death. In 1886 he came to Nebraska and located on a farm five miles northeast, which is now farmed by his son Clarence, in Adams county. Six years ago he and his wife moved to Blue Hill. On November 19, 1891, he was joined in holy wedlock to Mary Siebrass by the Rev. C. Schubkegel. This union was blessed with five children: four boys, Herbert, Arthur, Clarence and Alfred; and one daughter, Mrs. Alma Schnase of Kearney, Nebr. All of these except Arthur who preceded his father in death April 14, 1934, with their mother, and one brother, William Frahm of Blue Hill; and two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Nowack of Blue Hill, and Mrs. Minnie Luhn of Lincoln, Nebr., and twelve grandchildren mourn his death. Mr. Frahm was a true Christian, a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a loyal citizen and a successful farmer of this vicinity. His funeral will be on Saturday, April 28, at 1:30 at the home and 2 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran Church. After a short German service at the mourners' home, a double German-English service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church. The text for the German sermon will be John 11, 25.26, and for the English, 2 Tim. 2. A quartet will sing "The Haven of Rest" and "Asleep in Jesus." His mortal remains will be placed in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery to await the resurrection morn. The days of his sojourn here on earth were seventy-two years, three months, and seven days.
