Description	:	Mr. William F. Dahlkoetter died very suddenly of a heart attack Monday afternoon, May 12, at the age of 72 years, 7 months, and 21 days. His death occurred in St. Mary's Hospital, North Platte. Mr. Dahlkoetter was born in Germany in 1867. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. When he was 17, he came to America. He settled near Arlington, Nebraska, and joined the membership of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The decease chose to gain livelihood by farming. Mr. Dahlkoetter was born in Germany in 1867. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. When he was 17, he came to America. He settled near Arlington, Nebraska, and joined the membership of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The decease chose to gain livelihood by farming. On Febr. 17, 1895 he was joined in holy wedlock to Lizzie Stork of Arlington. Twelve children were born to this union. Since 1925, Mr. Dahlkoettter had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, having moved to this community with his family at that time. The young daughter, Mata died suddenly in May 1926 leaving the parents grief-stricken. From 1927 to 1929 Mr. Dahlkoetter served Trinity church as elder. Surviving are: the wife of the deceased; five daughters; Mrs. Emma Knecht, Mrs. Elsie Knecht, Mrs. Adela Knecht, of Arlington; Mrs. Alvina Greunke of Grant; Mrs. Laura Schmale of North Bend; six sons; Clarence, Harry, Ernest, Melvin, Arthur and Alfred of Grant and Ogallala; nine grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Burial service was held at the home and at Trinity church on Friday afternoon, May 10. The Rev. Paul H. Reuter officiated. Nephews of the deceased served as pallbearers. The mortal remains were interned in Trinity cemetery. Funeral director was the Lyon Funeral Home of Grant. William emigrated to the United States in 1884.
