Only a few months ago he had purchased the duplex cottage on Victoria Street from Miss Grace Robinson, but was not spared to long enjoy his new home, which he had extensively re-decorated before taking possession in June. The deceased was a son of the late George and Lavina (Mills) Farnsworth and was born in Granville Ferry. After leaving school he was assistant for several years at the store of the late HA West and later joined the staff of the Milford House, where he was well known to the travelling public. In 1908 he married Miss Goldie Thomas of Milford, who predeceased him in September, 1934. He is survived by one daughter, Florence, RN, wife of Dr Richard Taylor of Wolfville; one sister, Fanny, Mrs Horace Mills of Granville Ferry; a brother, Bertram, recently of California and three half-brothers; Percival of Edam, Sask.; LeRoy of Saskatoon and Herbert of Calgary. Mr Farnsworth was a member of the Masonic Order and of the Order of Good Cheer, and since residing town, had taken an active part in various organizations. The funeral took place from St Luke's Church on Saturday, August 7, and was largely attended, Reverend EB Gabriel conducted the service and the pall bearers were Dr AB Crowe, Messrs. Max Rippey, Ernest Shaffner, Murray Beeler, Charles Fickes and AL MacKenzie. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery.
