Lead Daily Call, Friday, November 27, 1942, page 1: DEATH CLAIMS OSCAR WARA BABY William Oscar Wara, three-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Wara of this city, died just after midnight on the morning of Thanksgiving day in St. John's hospital in Rapid City. He had been ill just a week. He was born August 1 in Deadwood and is survived by his parents and a brother, Doran. Funeral services will be held from the Rounsevell chapel tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment will be in the municipal cemetery in South Lead by the side of two other sons of Mr. and Mrs. Wara. The Rev. Russell Olsen of the Bethel Lutheran church will officiate. Mr. Wara had been employed at Wallace, Ida., for some time and had returned to Lead about 10 days ago to take the family with him to Wallace, when the baby became ill. Lead Daily Call, Monday, November 30, 1942, page 3: WARA BABY SERVICES HELD SATURDAY Funeral services for William Oscar Wara, three-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Wara of Lead, who died suddenly in a Rapid City hospital last week, as the family was preparing to leave for Wallace, Idaho, to live, were held from the Rounsevell funeral home Saturday with a large company of sympathizing friends in attendance. Beautiful flowers surrounded the little casket. The Rev. Russell Olsen officiated at the service, and with Mrs. N.G. Jerde at the piano, Delores Jerde and Garnet Grotrud sang "There Is a Home for Little Children," and one other selection. Interment was in the municipal cemetery in South Lead by the graves of two other children of Mr. and Mrs. Wara. Mr. and Mrs. Wara plan to leave Wednesday for Wallace, to make their home for the duration. SOUTH DAKOTA STATE FILE #209367 - (Record index notes that William O.
