Description	:	William Henry "Bill" Welch, age 59, of Logan, Iowa died Thursday, September 16, 2004 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Bill was born February 1, 1945 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to William Hugh and Maxine (Martens) Welch. He graduated from Maur Hill High School in Atchison, Kansas in 1963. Bill attended several colleges and graduated with his degree in Psychology and Sociology from Parson College in Denison, Iowa in 1971. He received an associate degree in accounting at NCE School of Commerce in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1977, and was employed as a bookkeeper... Read More	William Henry "Bill" Welch, age 59, of Logan, Iowa died Thursday, September 16, 2004 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Bill was born February 1, 1945 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to William Hugh and Maxine (Martens) Welch. He graduated from Maur Hill High School in Atchison, Kansas in 1963. Bill attended several colleges and graduated with his degree in Psychology and Sociology from Parson College in Denison, Iowa in 1971. He received an associate degree in accounting at NCE School of Commerce in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1977, and was employed as a bookkeeper for several years. Bill was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and he enjoyed camping, fishing, swimming, hunting and playing the piano. Bill had a great interest in Native American Heritage and photography. Survivors include his sisters, Jeri Gantt & husband John of Logan, IA, and Mary Lou Plummer & husband Terry, of Persia, IA; nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Maxine Welch; nephew, Christopher Plummer; and niece, Melissa Gantt. A wake service and rosary was held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 20th, 2004, at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa. Visitation with family followed. A Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 21st, 2004, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Logan, Iowa. Officiating Clergy was Father John Harman Final Resting Place: Valley View Cemetery, Persia, Iowa.
