Dak.), 6 brothers and one sister (Harvey and Kores, Wellman; John, Phoenix, Ariz.; Emery, Kalona; Joe, Iowa City; Francis, Harper, Kans.; and Ida-Mrs. Leroy Bender, Parnell), and 17 grandchildren. One infant sister and one grandchild preceded him in death. Two boys from the Kansas City Children's Home, Jerry and Richard Karr, made their home with the family for a number of years.
