The bodies of both Mr. and Mrs. Evans are being brought to the Nelson Berger Northside Funeral home. The accident occurred Sunday near Stanhope, Iowa as the couple was returning home from Cincinnati where they had been visiting a daughter. Mr. Evans was born December 25, 1896, at Early, Iowa. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, Sioux City Conservatory, Landmark Lodge 103, A. F. & A. M., the Apex club, Monahan Post 64, American Legion, and the Sioux City school Administration club. He also was a member of the parent teachers Association Council, the Sergeant Floyd area Council of the Boy Scouts and the M. club of Morningside College. He is survived by a son, Ens. Richard S. Evans of Pensacola, Florida; two daughters, Mrs. William Moeller of Palo Alto, California and Mrs. Warren Kluckman of Cincinnati; a brother, Elmer of Early, and two sisters Mrs. Frances Pullen of Spencer, Iowa and Mrs. Angie Drury of Everly, Iowa. Mrs. Evans was born October 20 5, 1899, at Kingsley, Iowa she was married to Mr. Evans here August 3, 1921. She resided at Marcus, Iowa Bronson, and Laurel Nebraska before moving to Sioux City 35 years ago. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the WSCS, the DAR, and the Dial, Apexetties, TTT and the Prinelle club. This information was published by the Sioux City Journal, June 28, 1957.
