Description	:	William Morris Cartwright, 82, died Wednesday, December 18, 1946 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Hilman Wales, three miles east of Nodaway, Iowa. He and his widow, Mrs. Jennie Cartwright had made their home with Mr. and Mrs. Hilman Walter since August 1945. The preceding four years, the Cartwright spent with a son, William in Michigan. Read More	William Morris Cartwright, 82, died Wednesday, December 18, 1946 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Hilman Wales, three miles east of Nodaway, Iowa. He and his widow, Mrs. Jennie Cartwright had made their home with Mr. and Mrs. Hilman Walter since August 1945. The preceding four years, the Cartwright spent with a son, William in Michigan. Mr. Cartwright lived most of his life in and about Nodaway. He was a farmer. He had been in poor health the past year. William Morris Cartwright, son of John and Lucy Cartwright, was born in Oskaloosa, September 16, 1864, married at Brooks, November 24, 1889. Mr. and Mrs. Cartwright celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1939. His home always meant a great deal to him. Surviving besides the widow, are seven children, 27 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren. The children are Mrs. Ruth Richardson of Council Bluffs; Gerald of Davenport, Iowa; Mrs. Letha Anderson of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Jessie Walter, east of Nodaway; Mrs. Glena Dennison, of Wallowa, Oregon; William of Birmingham, Michigan, Mrs. Ione Foss of Glenview, Illinois. Preceding the deceased in death were 15 brothers and sisters, and two children, one in infancy, and a daughter, the late Mrs. Mellvile Mossman. Services for Mr. Cartwright were held at the Nodaway Methodist Church, Sunday, December 22, 2 p.m. The Rev. Carl F. Stielfel officiated, and Miss Iola Orme was soloist.
