Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Siecke Funeral Home of Elk Point. Yvonne M. Staum was born May 4, 1914 in rural Elk Point to Isaac and Annie Bosse. She graduated from Elk Point High School in 1933. She married Clarence Staum on August 31, 1933. They farmed in the Elk Point area for 47 years until their retirement in 1980 when they moved to Elk Point. Yvonne was an active member of St. Joseph Church, Senior Citizens, and the Myn Extension Club. She enjoyed sewing, painting, ceramics, crafts, and playing cards. Her husband, Clarence died in December of 1998. She enjoyed the last three years of her life at Well-Life Assisted Living Center in Elk Point. She is survived by two sons; Dwayne of Central Point, OR, and Darmon (Kay) of Elk Point; three grandchildren; Julie Moore and husband, Donnie. David Staum and wife, Jeanne, and Teresa Anderson; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Douglas Bosse and his wife, Tibby, and a sister, Bonnie Trudeau. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jerry Trudeau; a daughter-in-law, Erna Staum; a brother, Martin; and a great-grandson, Nicholas Staum.
