Description	:	The Cemetery of the Sisters of Notre Dame is a small cemetery tucked away on the west side of Albert Place, in what used to be the grounds of Notre Dame Convent. The convent was built in 1852 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur and housed a school for girls. In 1975 the school and convent were closed and in 1979 demolished. This small cemetery for the nuns is the only remnant left of a school that at one time had around 500 pupils. In August 2019 the cemetery was renovated, spearheaded by the efforts of the Northampton Notre Dame Association and the Northampton Borough Council. Original Victorian railings were saved and refurbished along with the original memorial crosses for the deceased nuns.
