Description | : | The Parochial Chapel of Saint Helena in Knutsford, Cheshire, England was constructed in the medieval period, prior to 1316. The chapel's bell tower was rebuilt with stone during the reign of King Henry VIII. There were four bells in the belfry. The ecclesiastical census of 1563 revealed 140 households or families living in the chapelry. The chapelry was originally a part of the parish of Rostherne. By 1741, the Chapel of Saint Helena had fallen into disrepair and may have been at least partially collapsed.
