Description | : | This old church which stands looking over the The English Channel and Folkestone Harbour is believed to have been consecrated on 11th September 1138. It houses the relics of an Anglo-Saxon Princess and Patron Saint of Folkestone, St Eanswythe. She established a nunnery near the church in 630 AD and her reliquary now stands in the Chancel of the present Church where it was moved on 12 September 1138.
