Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Peter S. Schut, who passed away Thursday, May 3, were held Saturday, May 5, at 1:00 at the home and 1:30 at the First Reformed church with Rev. Harry Brower officiating. Burial was in the Sioux Center Community Cemetery with Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Schut, nee Ella Vermeer, passed away early Thursday morning at the age of 78 years, 1 month, 21 days. Mrs. Schut was born near Alton and moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Evert Vermeer, to Sioux Center where she continued to live until her passing. Mrs. Schut was united in marriage to Peter S. Schut on April 26, 1899, and to this union the following children were born: Sam; Ed; Fannie all of Sioux Center and Edna of Sioux City. Besides her husband and children she is further survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren as well as the following brothers and sisters: Jacob Vermeer; Dr. Gerrit Vermeer; Peter E. Vermeer; Maggie, Mrs. H. De Boer; Jennie, Mrs. Asa Muilenburg; Grace, Mrs. H. J. Ramaker; Hattie, Mrs. H. L. Mol and Priscilla, Mrs. A. Ramaker. Her mother preceded her in death in 1931, her father in 1934 and two brothers, Ed in 1931 and Richard in 1952. Mrs. Schut was a faithful member of First Reformed Church and of the Senior Ladies Aid. For the past seven years she was confined to her home where she received faithful and loving care by her daughter Fannie. Mrs. Schut was a devoted and loving wife and mother.
