Reis , son of Tilghman and Elizabeth Fretz Reis, was born June 16, 1867 at Pettit, Ind., and died April 16, 1961 at Denver, Colo., at the age of 93 years and 10 months. He was the last one living of 13 children. When he was about 23 years of age he moved to Gage County, Nebraska, and a few years later settled in Sarpy County at Richfield. He lived in Sarpy County 65 years. He has made his home in Denver and Golden, Colo. for the past 4 years. On November 14, 1895 he was united in marriage with Carrie Edith Calvert at Richfield. To this union seven children were born. His wife and two sons preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Miss Margaret Reis of Denver and Mrs. Ruth Horn of Papillion, by three sons Kenneth, Hawthorne, Calif., Harold, Golden, Colo., Donald, Papillion, and by 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church and charter member of the Men's Brotherhood. The funeral is to be held today, Aprol 20, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Marsh officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbears are Floyd Helwig, Clarence Peterson, Ferbert Keefer, Dan Seibold, Wm. Corby and Earl Lieber. Kahler Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
