Description	:	Adolph, the 3rd of 6 children born to William and Louise (Niederkleine) Haake, was baptized as an infant at Zion Lutheran Church. He was confirmed there in 1917, and Zion was the site of his marriage to Lora Carolyn Bartels on 15 Mar 1931. He and Lora were faithful members of Zion until their death. Read More	Adolph, the 3rd of 6 children born to William and Louise (Niederkleine) Haake, was baptized as an infant at Zion Lutheran Church. He was confirmed there in 1917, and Zion was the site of his marriage to Lora Carolyn Bartels on 15 Mar 1931. He and Lora were faithful members of Zion until their death. The folllowing is a transcription of a newspaper clipping: Adolph Haake Adolph Haake, son of William and Louise Niederklein Haake, was born Feb. 5, 1903, at the family home, three miles north of Daykin. He was baptized Feb. 28, 1903, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Tobias, by the Rev. Hartman. (sic--Hartmann) He died Dec. 2, at the age of 93 years, 9 months and 27 days. He received his grade school education in the former School District 118 and Zion Lutheran Parochial School. He was confirmed (by) the Rev. E.O. Patratz. On March 15, 1931, he was united in marriage to Lora Bartels. To this union two sons were born. They resided on a farm three miles north of Daykin for 9 years and later bought a farm one mile east of Tobias, where they built a new home and lived till 1977 when they retired and built another new home on their land. He was a farmer all his life. He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. He held several offices in the church and served on the school board at Zion besides at District 118. Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Elsie and Lena; brother, Bill; infant grandson; and brothers-in-law, Lorenz Bartels, Sid Davies and Rudy Meyer. Survivors include his wife; sons, Roger and his wife Leota of Tobias and Larry and his wife Linda of Beatrice; brother, Lester and his wife Alice of Hickman; sister, Annette Davies of Norwalk, Calif.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services were Dec. 4, from Zion Lutheran Church, Tobias, with the Rev. Michael Reiners officiating. Music was by Mrs. Kent Hummel and the Zion adult choir. Pallbearers were Perry Haake, Brad Moslander, Craig Morrow, Greg Jarchow, Kevin Haake and Gene Hicks. Burial was in the church cemetery.
