Description	:	Adrian Clyde Wells was born Dec. 17, 1883, near Salem, Nebr., to Sumner and Anna Wells. At the age of 18 months he moved with his parents to Kearney county where he grew to manhood. On Nov. 20, 1907, Adrian was united in marriage to Bessie Burchell and to this union six daughters were born. He was baptised in the Liberty Baptist Church at Minden. Following a move to Elk Creek in 1939, where he operated the Wells Cash Grocery Store, Adrian joined the Methodist Church there and he remained faithful until the time of his death. He departed from this... Read More	Adrian Clyde Wells was born Dec. 17, 1883, near Salem, Nebr., to Sumner and Anna Wells. At the age of 18 months he moved with his parents to Kearney county where he grew to manhood. On Nov. 20, 1907, Adrian was united in marriage to Bessie Burchell and to this union six daughters were born. He was baptised in the Liberty Baptist Church at Minden. Following a move to Elk Creek in 1939, where he operated the Wells Cash Grocery Store, Adrian joined the Methodist Church there and he remained faithful until the time of his death. He departed from this life at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 10 days. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife, six daughters, Muriel, Mrs. Edgar Harbert, Moorefield, Gladys, Mrs. Raymond Bjorklund and Rowene, Mrs. Arthur Rasmussen, Minden, Mrs. Dorothy Campeau, Memphis, Tenn., Ava, Mrs. Bill Mercer, Carlsbad, N.M., Wilma, Mrs. Gerald Smith, Duarte, Calif., 10 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one brother, Hershel Wells, Overton, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 1, at the Layton Funeral Home. Rev. Henry Stolz of the Bethany Lutheran Church officiated. Interment was in the Minden Cemetery.
