Read More	Agnes Cullison Bean August 14, 1927 - February 22, 2018 Agnes Cullison Bean, 90, of Lexington Park, MD passed away peacefully on February 22, 2018, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 14, 1927 in Pearson, MD to the late James Henry Cullison and Ethel Marie Trossbach Cullison. Agnes was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County. She graduated from Little Flower School, where she was the May Day Queen. She went on to complete two years of college at the St. Mary's Female Seminary-Junior College, now St. Mary's College of MD. On June 28, 1947, Agnes married her beloved husband, Richard “Dick” Bean at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Together they celebrated over 57 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in December 2004. She was employed by Taylor Gas and Little Flower School as a secretary. She was a devoted and loving caretaker for many, including her mother and father, many friends and her beloved husband for 15 dedicated years. She was a devout Catholic and Past President of the Ladies of Charity at Holy Face Catholic Church for many years. She spent countless volunteer hours giving back to the church and her fellow parishioners. For years she did the altar flowers, using flowers from her garden. She prepared many meals for funeral receptions, BINGO games for the senior citizens, and the priests. She also made sure the church was spotless, including ironing the altar linens and helping in the restoration of the pews. Because of her immense admiration for her father-in-law, Dr. P.J.Bean, Agnes was instrumental in donating much of his office to the St. Mary's County Historical Society. She then became a docent at The Old Jail Museum in Leonardtown for many years, so that she could accurately tell his story. Her family was very important to her and she loved to spend time with them. Agnes is survived by her children: Mary Bean Hollinger of Huntingtown, MD, Patricia Bean Burgess (Thomas) of Dahlgren VA and Richard Bean (Shelley) of Galesville, MD; her siblings: Joseph Henry Cullison (Margaret) of California, MD, Dorothy Ann Cullison Smith of Hagerstown, MD, Audrey Regina Cullison Pratt of Ridge, MD, and James Henry Cullison Jr. (Sharon) of St. Inigoes, MD; 6 grandchildren: Michael Burgess, Jessica Hollinger, Stephen Burgess, Heather McIntosh, Erin Bean Bembe, Chloe Bean; 7 great grandchildren: Jaycee, Tristan, Kadence, Nate, Ben, Lily and Braedyn; and many extended family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her siblings: James Franklin Cullison and John Bernard Cullison. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Jaroslaw Gamrot on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Face Catholic Church, 20408 Point Lookout Road, Great Mills MD. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Burgess, Stephen Burgess, Bob Taylor, Jim Bradley, Bob McNeil and John Schlermann. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary’s, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650 and Little Flower School, 20410 Point Lookout Road, Great Mills, MD 20634.
