Brother of George Bedea Passes On Albert Henry Bedea, youngest son of Benjamin and Martha Bedea, was born at Cornell, Illinois, November 12, 1871 and died at Leavenworth, Kansas in the Veteran's hospital September 23, 1937 at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 11 days. In 1882 he came with his parents, two brothers and sister to Nebraska where he grew to manhood on the farm near Table Rock. When the Spanish American War broke out he volunteered for service, enlisting in Co. I, 2nd Nebraska Infantry, but was not called overseas and later received a honorable discharge. February 22, 1905 he was united in marriage to Miss Ella Holdsworth of Preemption, Illinois. To this union three sons were born, the first passing in infancy. In 1906 the family moved to Smith Center, Kansas, two years later buying land at Almena, Kansas, where they still reside. Mr. Bedea was a prominent I.O.O.F. and Rebekah lodge member. He had been in poor health for some time and recently entered the Veteran's hospital. Weakness made him fall, resulting in a fractured hip. The shock was too great. He is survived by his wife, Ella, and two sons, Albert Devon and Emery Holdsworth. Funeral services were at Wherry's chapel in Pawnee City Monday. Interment was in the family lot in the Pawnee cemetery.
