Description	:	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 7 March 1945 Alfred Klay Passed Away in Great Falls From Injury Alfred Klay, a native of Chouteau county, passed away at a hospital in Great Falls on Tuesday evening, about 5 o'clock, from injuries he received Monday in an accident in the Great Northern switching yards when he was struck by a freight car and knocked from it path. He was taken to the hospital where it was determined he had suffered a fracture and dislocation of the spine and a dislocated hip. Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 7 March 1945 Alfred Klay Passed Away in Great Falls From Injury Alfred Klay, a native of Chouteau county, passed away at a hospital in Great Falls on Tuesday evening, about 5 o'clock, from injuries he received Monday in an accident in the Great Northern switching yards when he was struck by a freight car and knocked from it path. He was taken to the hospital where it was determined he had suffered a fracture and dislocation of the spine and a dislocated hip. The body was brought to Fort Benton where funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Alfred Klay was born June 18, 1888, in Fort Benton, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Klay, pioneer residents of the Shonkin section. He enlisted in the army during the first world war and served for a year in France. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He had been working as a carpenter in Great Falls and at the time of the accident was cleaning a scale track in the Great Northern yards. He was never married. He is survived by five brothers, August, Lawrence, Karl, Oscar and David Klay, all of whom are ranchers in the Shonkin and Highwood sections. Burial will be made in Riverside cemetery. The relatives have the sympathy of all in their bereavement. ..........
