ALFRED NOLIN'S SUDDEN DEATH--DIES OF HEART TROUBLE, WHICH FOLLOWS ATTACK OF STOMACH. Alfred Nolin, who has been living on the Albert Harrah farm north of Newton the past year died very suddenly about 12:10 with heart trouble. Since last March he has been a sufferer from chronic stomach trouble but his condition has not been considered serious. He took suddenly worse Friday at the noon hour and before a physician could be summoned he had passed away. The deceased leaves a wife and four children,--three girls and one son. His mother, Mrs. Mary Nolin, is still living and makes her home with her daughter, Mrs. Bert Hough of Newton. Mr. Nolin leaves five brothers who reside in Jasper county. Most of the deceased's life has been spent on a farm near Monroe. ===== 2 different Obits from unknown news papers- Death of Alfred Nolin Alfred Nolin died very suddenly of heart failure a little afternoon last Friday, September 22 at the Albert Harrah farm northeast of Newton, where he had been living for the past year. He was taken violently ill only a short time before his death and his sudden death was a terrible shock to his family and friends. He had been in poor health, however, for a long while, and unable to do any work for the past two months; and yet he nor his family dreamed that the end was so near. Alfred Nolin was a native of Jasper county, born on a farm 6 miles northeast of Monroe, November 16, 1865- his age at death being nearly 46 years. He was a son of Mr. & Mrs. George Nolin; the father died several years ago, but the mother, Mrs. Mary Nolin, survives, and resides with her daughter, Mrs. Bert Hough of this city. On the 14th of June, 1888 Mrs. Nolin was united in marriage to Miss Helen Bruce, a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. David Bruce of this city. 4 children were born to them: Mrs. Grover Varbal; Arthur; Elva & Thyra Nolin, all of who were with him during his final illness. Besides his bereaved mother, wife and children, he is survived by 6 brothers and 3 sisters and also one little granddaughter. With the exception of about 4 years in Oklahoma, Mr. Nolin had always lived in Jasper county, Iowa. He was a good man and for many years has been a member of the Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Albert Harrah on Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. R.F. Lavender of the Wittember Congregational church a large number of friends and neighbors being present. The interment was in the Newton cemetery.
