She was born Dec. 5, 1892 to Christian and Anna Sass, at the farm home near Hooper. She was a lifelong resident of this vicinity. She lived at home and took care of her parents. She also worked in various homes in Scribner and Fremont. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Miss Sass is survived by one sister, Mrs. Herman (Adella) Horst, Hooper; two brothers, Werner, Hooper, and Roland of Princeton, Kansas. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Rev. Armand Mueller officiated and burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery north of Hooper. Spear Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. A trio, composed of Mrs. Harlan Frischie, Mrs. Leonard Hoegemeyer, and Mrs. Otto Wehrmann, sang, with Mrs. Albert Tuchenhagen as accompanist. Pallbearers were Donald and Delbert Meyer, Arden Havekost, Glenn Herbolsheimer, Julius Otteman, and Elmer Uehling.
