He married Ella Marie Studet at Blair June 8, 1938. They had lived on a farm near Hooper since their marriage. Mr. Sass was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Laymen's League and the church finance committee. He is survived by his widow; three children, Stanley, Loran and Nadine, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Anna Sass; four brothers, John and Harold of Scribner, Werner of Hooper and Roland of Princeton, Kan.; two sisters, Miss Alma Sass and Mrs. Herman Horst, both of Scribner. His father and one brother preceded him in death.
