He was born on April 16, 1949 in Napoleon, Ohio to the late Alvin H. and Evelyn (Vajen) Oberhaus. On July 14, 1973 he married Linda Meienburg at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, Ohio. Alvin was a farmer but he also worked at the former Napoleon Spring Works now Lynx Industries, and also Saneholtz Supply. He serviced in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Oberhaus, 68, of Napoleon, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, Ohio. He was born on April 16, 1949 in Napoleon, Ohio to the late Alvin H. and Evelyn (Vajen) Oberhaus. On July 14, 1973 he married Linda Meienburg at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, Ohio. Alvin was a farmer but he also worked at the former Napoleon Spring Works now Lynx Industries, and also Saneholtz Supply. He serviced in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township. He was a member and the treasurer of the Maumee Valley Sportsman Club, a lifetime member of the NRA, and belonged to Bavarian Club in Deshler. He enjoyed hunting fishing, trapshooting, pistol shooting, archery, and tractor pulls. He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Serena (Kevin) Price of Orchard Lake, Michigan, Christopher (Sara) Oberhaus of Oregon, Ohio, and Alicia (Nathan Lee) Oberhaus of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Zander and Vivian Price, Madisyn, Evan, and Elijah Oberhaus; brother, David (Annette) Oberhaus of Napoleon, Ohio and sister, Sandra (James) Aderman of Broomfield, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Donna Jean Oberhaus. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
