Description	:	Rains Funeral Will Be Tuesday Libertyville - Alvy Leroy Rains, 85, longtime resident of Jefferson County, was found dead about Saturday noon at his home in Libertyville. The Jefferson County Medical Examiner said he died of natural causes. He had been in failing health for the past several weeks. Alvy Leroy Rains was born June 23, 1883, at Benson, Ill., and lived most of his life in and near Fairfield. He was the son of C.D.M. and Marietta Faw Rains. He never married. Rains was a 60-year member of Jefferson Lodge No. 4, I.O.O.F. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Clara Brock, Fairfield; Elsie C. Pappas, Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Florine Pogemiller, Batavia; and four brothers, Arthur Rains, Sunnyvale, Calif.; Raymond Rains, Washington; Merritt Rains, Fairfield; and B. T. Rains, Pekin, Ill.
