Description	:	Amelia Spamer was the 3rd child of Ludwig and Julia. Millie, as she was known among family members, graduated in 1864 from Eastern High School in Baltimore. She presented the valedictorian address even though she received second honors in her graduating class, according to The Sun, Sep 9, 1864. Millie would devote her life to the care of her family, especially her parents, with whom she lived all her life. Millie would devote her life to the care of her family, especially her parents, with whom she lived all her life. She wrote father: Dear Pap, Aunt Catherine (Engel) passed into the other life on Monday; she had for a long time been feeble in mind and weak, but finally suffered with pneumonia. Katie Engel took almost entire charge and care of her during the last year, and Aunt Catherine became very much attached to and depended upon her. Katie was the last name she called. We did not hear until Monday evening, and Ollie (Olivia E.B. Spamer) went right down Tues. They all hoped that you might get in, being the eldest brother. We told them we had sent word immediately. We sent a beautiful floral offering- an anchor with a card "From Brother Louie". We knew you would feel and wish this. Gus, Arthur and Miriam were present at the services. Miriam went with Uncle and Aunt Henry in the carriage. Gus also accompanied the remains. Uncle George was not there as he was away and they could not get word to him. Miriam and Gus went back to the house and saw members of the family for a short while. It seems that Katie Engel has been very faithful in attendance on Aunt Catherine and feels the loss deeply. Miriam likes Katie so much. Thus it is that one by one we connect ourselves with the other life, leaving behind us the influence of our earthly life. It is a comfort to know that Aunt Catherine is now relieved from all earthly care and sorrow, and that now she can go strengthening and developing the gentle kind nature that she possessed. With love and sympathy, Millie SPAMER--On Friday, Nov 9, 1906, at her residence No. 1711 Slingluff avenue, Walbrook. AMELIA S. H. SPAMER, daughter of the late Ludwig and Julia Spamer. Services at the above residence this Sunday at 10 a.m. Funeral at Rockland, near Perry Hall, Baltimore county, Md, this Sunday, at 3 p.m. interment private.
