Overby, 67, Griggs county farmer who took his own life with a .22 rifle August 23, were held Monday afternoon in the Lutheran church at Mose with Rev. A. O. Borlaug officiating. Mr. Overby is believed to have committed suicide at about 10 a.m. and the body was discovered by a son about 4 in the afternoon. Mr. Overby was born in Rice county, Minnesota, February 11, 1876. When he was eight years old the family moved to North Dakota and settled in Griggs county where Mr. Overby lived the rest of his life. He was married to Susie Barclay and they had five children. Mrs. Overby died in 1942. He is survived by one daughter, Agnes, at home; four sons, Eugene and John at home, and Stanley and Hans in the U.S. army overseas; one sister, Betsy, of Benedict, N.
