The deceased was a daughter of the late Captain George De la Roche, U.S.N., of Georgetown, D.C. She was married Feb. 26, 1852, to Mr. James O. Patterson, of Hartford County, Maryland, formerly of Baltimore. She has four sisters--Mrs. Dr. Greenleaf, wife of Major Greenleaf, U.S. Surgeon, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Captain William B. The deceased was a daughter of the late Captain George De la Roche, U.S.N., of Georgetown, D.C. She was married Feb. 26, 1852, to Mr. James O. Patterson, of Hartford County, Maryland, formerly of Baltimore. She has four sisters--Mrs. Dr. Greenleaf, wife of Major Greenleaf, U.S. Surgeon, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Captain William B. Johns and Mrs. Major H.F. Bates, U.S.A., Washington, D.C., and Mrs. E.M. Frailey, Baltimore, Maryland. About the year 1880 Mr. and Mrs. Patterson moved to this city to be near their sons, who were engaged in wool growing near here. Mr. Patterson died in the summer of 1886, in this city, and his remains rest in Riverside cemetery, where those of his wife will soon repose by his side. The deceased leaves seven children--Mrs. J.B. Thies, wife of the late Lieut. Thies, U.S.A., Mrs. Lieut. A.A. Cabaniss, U.S.A., Miss Leonora J. Patterson, George D., John F., W.A., and J.O. Patterson. Her children were all with her during her last illness and soothed and comforted her last moments. Mrs. Patterson was a devout member of the Episcopal church during her life and passed away in full faith, and without a murmur, content to go to a brighter and happier existence beyond the grave. Her funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock from St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend. [*Obituary located & shared by Cara...]
