Jensen Houmark Anna Katrine Jensen Houmark was born in Humburg, Jutland, Denmark, February 9, 1861, and died in Minden, Neb., March 3, 1925, at the age of 64 years and 22 days. As a child, she was baptised, brought up and confirmed in the Lutheran faith to which she adhered all of her life. In the year 1884 she was united in marriage to Jens C. Jensen Houmark Anna Katrine Jensen Houmark was born in Humburg, Jutland, Denmark, February 9, 1861, and died in Minden, Neb., March 3, 1925, at the age of 64 years and 22 days. As a child, she was baptised, brought up and confirmed in the Lutheran faith to which she adhered all of her life. In the year 1884 she was united in marriage to Jens C. Jensen Houmark and the same year the young couple emigrated to America coming directly to Kearney county and making their home on a farm. From 1896 until 1918 they were members of the Fredericksburg church. In 1918 they moved to Minden and transferred their membership to the Bethany Danish Lutheran church. Mr. Houmark passed to the great beyond the same year they moved to Minden. To this union were born fourteen children, seven sons, Jens H. Jensen, Harry J. Jensen, W. J. Houmark, T. C. Jensen, Carl C. Jensen and one son who passed on; seven daughters, Mrs. Ed Warp, Mrs. Olaf Johnson, Mrs. Alfred Johnson, Mrs. Walter Hansen, Mrs. Eldridge E. Zike, Mrs. Ralph Wilson and Miss Martha Jensen. Mrs. Olaf Johnson and Mrs. Walter Hansen preceded the mother in death. Short funeral services were held at the home in the Minden, Friday afternoon, March 6, at 2 o'clock and at the Fredericksburg church at 3 o'clock, the Reverends Jensen and Nyegaard being in charge.
