Description	:	Anna Louisa Nevins, 75, was said to be the third white child born in Kansas, and a pioneer resident of NE Kansas. She died unexpectedly at the home of her daughter at 9:45 o'clock Wednesday at 1033 Kearney, Atchison where she has made her home the past 8 months. Death was attributed to a heart attack. A short service was held Thurs. at the funeral home at 1 p.m. and a service held at Larkinburg Christian Church at 3 p.m. with burial at Moore Cemetery. Rev. Kellison officiated. She is survived by 6 children; Will, Valley Falls; Jesse & Frank, Arrington; Mrs. High & John Nevins, Atchison; Anna Jackson, Arrington; two brothers-John & Jake Eckert of Arrington, and one sister, Mary Patton of Larkin; also 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Nevins was born Aug. 18, 1859, in the Arrington community and was married to the late W.C. Nevins Apr. 1, 1878. They farmed for 3 years in the Valley Falls area then moved to a farm east of Arrington where they resided until 1915, when Mr. Nevins retired from the farm and moved to Arrington. Mr. Nevins died Feb. 21, 1930. The Nevins celebrated their Golden Anniversary in 1928. Since his death, Mrs. Nevins has made her home with her children. A good woman and a good mother has gone on to her reward.
