Snyder officiating. Burial was in Lone Tree Cemetery with the Henry Funeral Home in charge. Anna Wright was born March 3, 1873, at Yorktown, Penn. She died Oct. 21, 1955, at the Sioux Rapids Hospital at the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 18 days. Read More	Additional information provided by Susan Malloy Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Krout Wright were held Monday afternoon, Oct. 24, at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. J.T. Snyder officiating. Burial was in Lone Tree Cemetery with the Henry Funeral Home in charge. Anna Wright was born March 3, 1873, at Yorktown, Penn. She died Oct. 21, 1955, at the Sioux Rapids Hospital at the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 18 days. She had been a patient at the hospital for the past six weeks and in poor health the last several years. Pallbearers were Art Mills, Earl Rukes, Levi Landsness, E.E. Thomas, Wm. Colburn and Harvey Rowe. Mrs. Elmer Moe accompanied by Sharon Pritchard sang “In The Garden” and “Take My Hand Precious Lord.” She is survived by five children, Addie (Mrs. Merle Pressel) of Lake Park, Ia., Ray Wright of New Richmond, Wis., Florence (Mrs. Ben Hollesen) of Sioux Rapids, Earl of Chicago, Ill., and Floyd of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Mahn of Cherokee, Mrs. Carrie Armstrong of Mattoon, Ill., and Mrs. Earl Sauter of Rembrandt; three brothers, Jake Krout of Litchfield, Minn., Will Krout of Aberdeen, S.D., and Lyle Krout of Storm Lake; 21 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wright was the second child of John and Amanda Krout. She was united in marriage to Delbert O. Wright on May 15, 1896, at Aurelia, Ia. To this union seven children were born. She lived in the Sioux Rapids community most of her life. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Sioux Rapids American Legion Auxiliary and various other organizations as her health permitted until her death. “Mom Wright” as she was fondly referred to by friends and relatives alike, had a remarkable zest for living and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, as her wonderful personality endeared her to all.
