Description	:	The Lenox Time Table Thursday, June 23, 1932 Anna M. Stevenson, daughter of Abram and Eliza Stevenson, was born near Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, April 2, 1852. The family moved to Knoxville, Illinois, and later to Aledo, Illinois, where she grew to young womanhood and taught in the public schools. On March 17, 1875, she was married to George A. Brown at Aledo. To this union was born five sons, one dying in infancy. Mrs. Brown early made her profession of faith in Christ, her membership being held in the Presbyterian Church, and remaining in that denomination until, after residing on a farm near Gravity... Read More	The Lenox Time Table Thursday, June 23, 1932 Anna M. Stevenson, daughter of Abram and Eliza Stevenson, was born near Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, April 2, 1852. The family moved to Knoxville, Illinois, and later to Aledo, Illinois, where she grew to young womanhood and taught in the public schools. On March 17, 1875, she was married to George A. Brown at Aledo. To this union was born five sons, one dying in infancy. Mrs. Brown early made her profession of faith in Christ, her membership being held in the Presbyterian Church, and remaining in that denomination until, after residing on a farm near Gravity from 1888 until 1901 the family came to the farm one and one-half miles south of Clearfield. At that time Mr.and Mrs. Brown placed their membership in the United Presbyterian church here. Mr. Brown's death occurred October 19, 1908. That winter Mrs. Brown took up her residence in Clearfield. Mrs. Brown's faith bore fruitage in the home, the church and the community. She especially valued her fellowship of the Bible Class of which she was a member. Only a few of her associates remain. Her friendships knew no denominational bounds. During the last five years she was a shut-in, being a constant sufferer, bearing her pain with fortitude. Her death occurred on Tuesday, June 14th, at the age of 80 years, 2 months, and 12 days. Besides her four sons, she leaves eight grandchildren; one brother, Howard Stevenson of Aledo, Illinois; several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Funeral services were conducted in the home by her pastor, Rev. H. B. Hutchman, Thursday afternoon at 2:30; interment in Clearfield cemetery.
