Mrs. Stodola {Justina Sebetka Stodola}, R.N., was called to take care of her during her illness. She never regained consciousness but, on Sunday, May 9, Mother's Day, she seemed to recognize her children and also spoke to them. Mrs. Stodola {Justina Sebetka Stodola}, R.N., was called to take care of her during her illness. She never regained consciousness but, on Sunday, May 9, Mother's Day, she seemed to recognize her children and also spoke to them. Anna Pavlicek Dostal was born in Belo, Bohemia, June 19, 1867, having reached the age of 83 years, 11 months and 5 days. At the age of 19 she came to this country, and in 1888 was married to Joseph Dostal, who, together with eleven children, are left to mourn her loss. Mr. Dostal, is seriously ill and under the care of Mrs. Stodola. He was unable to attend his wife's funeral, but services were held from the home, so that he could be present. The couple started farming in the Elberon Vining community. They bought a farm 2.5 miles north of Elberon in 1904, and continued living there until her death. She was the mother of 12 children, one baby dying in infancy. The children are Mrs. Albert (Mary) Vileta, Mrs. James (Anna) Hrstka, Mr. Emil Dostal, James Dostal, Joe Dostal, Mrs. Emma Plucar, Mrs. Fred (Louise) Salasek, Mrs. Charles (Mildred) Chalupsky, John Dostal, Mrs. Art (Bessie) Finzen, and Louie (Elsie) Wiebbecke. Mrs. Dostal was a member of the Z.C.B.J. lodge in Clutier, of which her husband is a charter member. She leaves the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Frances Zmolek, Mrs. Lew Podhajsky of Clutier; Mrs. James Benda of Toledo, John Pavlicek of Montana, and James and Joseph Pavlicek of Fox Home, Minnesota. Funeral services were held Sunday at 1 o'clock from the Clutier hall, where a very large number of friends and relatives gathered to hear the services. Ted Hlubucek of Cedar Rapids officiated. Flower girls were four granddaughters, Pauline Hrstka, Pauline Dostal, Gladys Chalupsky and Irene Plucar. Pallbearers were six grandsons, Emil Hrstka, Albert Vileta, Joe Dostal, Alvin Plucar, Charles Dostal and Leo Parizek. Music was by Helen Melsa, Mildred Mahring and Miss Kuborec, all of Cedar Rapids. She was laid to rest in the National Cemetery near Vining.
