She was born Feb 22, 1843 in Ohio, and the fall of the same year came with her parents to Missouri and settled in Oregon, Holt County. Ruley, editor of the Dispatch, died at Hiawatha, Ks., Nov 3, 1875 of brain fever, aged 32 years, 8 months and 12 days. She was born Feb 22, 1843 in Ohio, and the fall of the same year came with her parents to Missouri and settled in Oregon, Holt County. About seventeen years ago she was married to Mr Ruley and became the mother of eight children, seven of who survive to mourn her great loss. The stricken husband and children and her aged parents, Mrs & Mrs John Masters, (who reside in our midst) have our sympathy in this their hour of affliction."
